What causes pimples in older people?!

Question: What causes pimples in older people?
Normally my skin is fairly clear except a week before and after that time of the month then I get a big doozy of a pimple which takes weeks to clear up!
I'm guessing this is a hormonal problem, but is it normal to be over 30 and still get pimples and will they ever stop coming?

Answers:

Like adolescents, it is normally a hormonal problem. Facial Acne and pimples are usually caused by hormonal imbalance, lack or cleanliness, and foods that create high toxicity levels. Some people have hormonal imbalance well into their thirties. Bacteria on the epidermis just makes it worse. Start by eliminating all makeup except lips/eyes; wash your face and other affected areas four times a day with mineral soap and water and try and keep your hands off your face as much as possible. Then research/remove all the 'take aways' from your lifestyle and begin adding them back in several-week increments to see which ones are problems for you. These include all processed foods, preservatives, additives, processed dairy, high fat [you can find these listed in any good Acne site] and adjust your diet to include high levels of hydration/fruits/vegetables. All the experts agree that there are good solutions now that do not require expensive drugs and harsh chemicals. Avoid the 'home remedy' type solutons; the only ones that work are simply anti-biotic. The bottom line is this: learn about acne and find out what foods and lifestyle changes work for you not against you. Best of luck...Arlan.
