Ulcers in nose and mouth? Lupus?!

Question: Ulcers in nose and mouth? Lupus?
I've had ulcers in my nose and mouth for the past 2 years or so.

I'm 21 and have been unwell for sometime. I have a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but I've been told that it's not an accurate diagnosis.

I have joint pain (not pain all over)
Swelling in fingers.
Raynaud's disease
Celiac Disease
Fatigue

My doctor did blood tests about 2 years ago. My ANA levels were high and inflammation was normal. The doctor I saw has now left the country and my new doctor wont check my ANA. She says if I don't have a butterfly rash then it's not worth checking my ANA levels and that I wont have Lupus.

I'm mainly concerned about the ulcers. At the moment they've gotten a lot worse. I have a big one on my tongue, two on the inside of my cheeks and three in my nose.

What does it sounds like?

Thanks.

Some of your other conditions could be causing the sores or it could indeed be lupus. Many people with lupus do NOT ever get I butterfly rash or any kind of rash at all. Your doctor is misinformed. I have had lupus for 46 years. It has affected a number of my organs, but I have never gotten a butterfly rash. I suggest you make an appointment with a rheumatologist. This is the type of doctor with the training to diagnose and treat lupus. Diagnosing lupus is complicated. General doctors are not trained to do it. Clearly, your doctor has no clue. A positive ANA does not mean that you have lupus. 10 million Americans have a postive ANA but only 1.5 million have lupus. Of the 1.5 million who have lupus 2-3% will NOT have a positive ANA. ANA levels are not a measure of disease activity in lupus. In addition, if the immunofluorescent pattern of the ANA is not speckled, then it is indicative of another autoimmune disease.

You can find a rheumatologist at the link provided.
