Do NOT miss out your Levemir injection tonight, my friend, as has been suggested by one person or you'll find that your blood sugar (glucose) levels will be up tomorrow.

Don't panic about having your Levemir injection instead of your Novorapid. As has been correctly stated, Levemir is a basal insulin ... it keeps your blood glucose levels on an 'even keel' for a long period of time. The Novorapid should be taken as a bolus insulin. This is a faster acting insulin that would cover your mealtime intake of carbohydrates.

Ideally, you should speak directly with your doctor, but failing that, and dependent on what your blood glucose levels are like generally, you may still be able to take your Novorapid injection.

Play safe though, if you are in any doubt of you being able to recognise [recognize, if you are, indeed, one of my American cousins] the symptoms of hypoglycemia ... which is highly unlikely to occur anyway ... then missing out on that one specific Novorapid injection is NOT going to kill you. You may find that when you next test your blood glucose level that it is slightly raised but, hopefully, you know how to bring your blood glucose levels back down to the 'normal' range.

I wish you well.

The novorapid injections are to control your sugar levels after each meal. So you can continue with your novorapid injections for each meal.

Levemir helps to maintain your baseline blood sugar levels when you are not eating. I guess you could leave out your Levemir for the day, and take it at your regular timing the next day.

Because you mixed up the injections, please monitor your blood glucose levels for the day. Also watch out for any signs of low blood sugar (such as fainting, palpitations, cold sweat). You can consult a doctor or pharmacist if you are still worried. =)
