Is this cancerous or just a common cold?!

Question: Is this cancerous or just a common cold?
lately i have been feeling out of breath, my voice has gotten raspy, and it hurts to swallow. everyone is saying its just a sore throat from the common cold and i will get over it. But something that i dont know about health wise, is the darkening brown spot in the lower middle part of my throat. it may be normal and these symptoms may be common, but i would like some feedback before i go to the doctor.

How long have these symptoms been going on for? Regardless of the cause, if it's bothering you, you should go see a doctor and have it checked out. I highly doubt that you have cancer - these symptoms sound more like some type of throat infection to me. Trouble swallowing and a change in voice often indicates some type of throat inflammation such as laryngitis or pharyngitis. You should see a doctor and start some medication! Good luck.

Do you mean the brown spot is on your neck, or are you actually looking down your throat? How long have you been smoking? Anyway, see a doctor.
