Hello. Just take a different antibiotic. There are many different antibiotics that they can use to treat a UTI. If you have a side effect from one, that doesn't mean you will get it from another one. I had a UTI recently, and had to try 3 different ones, becfore i found one that didn't make me sick. A UTI will not go away without taking antibiotics. That's the only way you can get rid of it. Plus, if left untreated, it can spread to your kidneys. Take care.

The sulfonamide class of antibiotics is usually best for urinary tract infections- completely different from the Penicillin family.
There are people who may tell you to use cranberry juice or tablets. Such things may be capable of "promoting bladder health", but they have NEVER been proven as curative. An untreated bladder infection can lead to a kidney infection which is a much greater problem.

Drinking water is of more benefit to you than drinking cranberry juice right now. You need to flush your bladder with as much water as possible.
Feel better soon!

You need to see a doctor. The only way to cure a UTI is to take a full course of antibiotics exactly as prescribed by a doctor.Tell your doctor about your previous experience with amoxicilin so he or she can prescribe a different antibiotic. Drinking a lot of water and cranberry juice will help prevent UTI, but will not cure UTI. If you don't take antibiotics to cure your UTI, it will spread and cause kidney damage and other serious problems.
