Do I have herpes? Any ideas?!

Question: Do I have herpes? Any ideas?
soo sorry this is really personal, but i have never been sexually active, so i have no idea how this could be, but a couple weeks ago, i found a blister on my labia (just one, not multiple). It kinda concerned me, so i did some research on herpes and i don't think i had any other symptoms, and it was just one blister so i kinda just ignored it and it went away relatively quickly. But now i see what looks like the beginning of another blister in a different place, really low on my labia, as in closer to the anus. I have no idea how it could possibly be herpes, considering i am not sexually active, but just to reassure myself, anyone have any ideas what these blisters could be caused from?

It's difficult to say without more information obviously, and certainly you should see a doctor for a proper diagnosis... but... it's generally pretty unlikely you'd have genital herpes out of nowhere, without being sexually active.

If you get coldsores on your lips, and you touched your lips then touched yourself down there soon after, it's possible that you transferred it - though again unlikely.

Generally herpes outbreaks are in clusters, but they can occur individually. They contain a clear fluid and are almost *always* accompanied by an unpleasant sensation, described as either tingling, itchy, or even painful.

I would *guess* from the informaiton you've provided that it's not herpes. There are tons of other skin conditions that people get from time to time that can cause worry, especially if it's in your private area. For the time being, maintain good hygiene "down there" and wash your hands, and see a doctor as soon as possible for a test - if the blister is still there, it makes it much easier for the doctor to diagnose.

Avoid sex from the time of first symptoms until a few days after the scabs have gone away. Not having sex does not mean you cannot hug or cuddle. Just be sure that lesions and their secretions do not touch the other person's skin. Wash your hands with soap and water after any possible contact with lesions. This will keep you from reinfecting yourself or passing the virus to someone else. Go visit a doctor for check up...

Valirie, This sounds like a herpes by ur symptoms and there's no way to be sure is to fo when you have a out break, this is important because you will spread it by sexual contact. Good Luck and see a doctor.

If you are not sexually active, it is not herpes. It is probably an ingrown hair. Herpes comes from sexually actively unless you are known to have cold sores and some how transmitted in to your genitals. If that is not the case, you are fine and do not have herpes.
