Was told 5 days ago I have a 4mm kidney stone...still hasn't passed?!

Its been 5 days and it still hasn't passed and I'm still having the blood in urine that comes and go's when is this thing ever going to pass. I know it will be painful as H#$@ but I''m just ready for it to be done and over with...How long does it usually take?
When I talked to my doc he said it was right at the uterer and hasn 't gone through yet, should I worry about anything serious right now or is it normal for it to take this long, haven't really been in pain just bloody urine occasionally..I see my doctor again friday
