Do facial (chemical) peels age skin over the long-run?!
Question: Do facial (chemical) peels age skin over the long-run?
Since they contain chemical acids which slough off dead skin cells by literally "burning" your skin (that's why it always tingles and even burns depending on how sensitive your skin is).
Does this process actually damage the skin in the long-run? I'm sure it makes the skin more sensitive to the sun and thus more susceptible to environmental damage.

You're correct about sensitivity and susceptibility. It's a very short term gain, cosmetic for now.
The skin loses elasticity because deeper layers that are normally protected from the elements are now being artificially exposed.
