Question: If you have Hepatitis C antibodies can you still donate blood?
I went to my doctor and he says I dont have it just means my body is immune to it. So can you still donate?

No. The fact that you've tested positive for the antibodies but negative for the virus means that you were infected, but your body was able to clear the virus on its own. The virus doesn't really completely disappear, but the amount of virus in the blood is undetectable.



It is strongly encouraged you DO Not donate. That said there are many ways you can donate, call the blood bank or organization hosting and offer your time, pick your talent, helping set up, tear down, make cookies, juice or a special treat. Help pass out flyer's, make phone calls or stuff envelopes to help get other donors. Thank you, you can save a life by doing these things that not many others take the time to do.
