Question: Minor allergic reaction to oxycodone/apap , easy 10 points?
ok so im pretty sure that im allergic to oxycodone/apap that the doctor gave me for a MCL tear so i can walk and go to school, anyways , it causes itching but no hives and nasuea and i figured im allergic to it but no like trouble breathing so is it ok if i keep using it until i go to the doc in a week? also the dosage is 5/500

You can continue to take it if the itching does not drive you nuts. You can take Benadryl for that but it will make you drowsy. As long as you don't have hives or any breathing problems/shortness of breath then it won't hurt you.
My daughter has the same problem- especially her nose itching like crazy- with any of these type of pain meds but sometimes you HAVE to take them.

Best to call your doctor and ask him. Sometimes medications can cause minor itching but it stops after some use. However, allergies can cause minor itching too and continued use can cause worse reactions.



If your pretty sure it's that, stop, before it gets worse ( very likely). Contact your Dr. for another alternative.
