Do they test your blood every single time you donate?!

Question: Do they test your blood every single time you donate?
I've donated many times. i have a little "Gallon Donor Card" and everything.

after you get a tattoo, they like you to wait about a year before donating again.
so, i got a tattoo, and the full year is coming to a close...

my question is, even though i've donated atleast 7 times before hand, will they still my blood every single time? just to ensure i didn't catch anything during that year???

Answers:

You should wait at least a year after getting a tattoo to make sure that you didn't get infected with any thing from being tattooed. Yes they do test your blood for blood born illnesses like hepatitis and hiv but they don't test for every thing. If you didn't contract any thing then you're blood should still be the same.

It's important to do blood testing before blood donation. It's to ensure that the donor didn't carry any diseases or viruses in their blood.

Yeah they definitely will. You could easily contract an STD in a year.

of course. why wouldn't they?
