Weird Tanning Bed Allergy?!

So I have been tanning on more than one occasion. Normally the first 2 times I go I'm okay. Then about the 3rd or 4th time (I never go every day, its always spaced out) I have to get out of the stand-up booth because my skin feels as though it is crawling. I never get a rash, and the only time it gets red and blotchy is from my scratching. The only way I can describe it is a severe discomfort, I feel like there are hot pokers all over my skin, and i have to continue moving otherwise i start to twitch from the pain. Itching makes it worse. I've never had this problem in the sun, I had something similar in Mexico, but not quite the same. I never sun burn, I always tan when I'm in the sun. And I've tried tanning with lotion, and without lotion and the same thing has always happened. I've only tried tanning twice really (once 2 weeks leading up to junior prom, and once 2 weeks leading up to senior prom). Has this happened to anyone else? The doctors don't know what caused it, I was just prescribed a lot of antihistamines. Also, the discomfort last for 3-5 days. I was just curious if anyone else had this problem, and if they knew what it was exactly. Thanks!
