Question: I have Tonsils and Adenoids removal surgery as well turbinates procedure scheduled for my 3year old son,?
Please can anybody give me any helpful advise including the recovery period or diet or anything relating to this procedure.Thanks a lot.

The nurses and docs will give you full discharge teaching prior to sending you home, they are usually pretty good. As a 20 year old male getting my tonsils out is was a brutally painful 7 day recovery period, I ate mostly rice pudding and chocolate pudding (something that soothed the throat not just moistened). I hated popcicles and feezies for the first few days, but ate a fair share on about day 6 post op. Most important for a 3y/o is to keep them hydrated and ambulating to start the healing process.
