Question: Does a mormal emg definitely rule out FSH muscular dystrophy?
my son has many symptoms of fshd eyes that don't close all the way when he sleeps, scapular winging, weak arms, and shoulder pain but he had a normal emg would that mean it is definitely not fshd?

I am not sure if it would usually it takes a combination of tests and clinical presentation to decide. But there is an option. Have the doctors done the DNA Testing for FSHD ? It is 98% accurate and all it takes is a simple Blood test.
