I just turned 21. I know I shouldn't have, but I used to drink back in high school and I never got sick or anything. I didn't touch the stuff for quite a while, then when I turned 21 I decided to try it again. and every time I even touch it I break out in hives and get itchy everywhere. Everyone says it's a sign I shouldn't drink at all. and I don't want to drink all the time, it would just be nice to be able to do it socially with my friends.
I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this? Or what causes it? I didn't know you could suddenly be allergic to something that you never have been before.

yes, it won't be the alcohol. it will something IN it. i recommend you tell a doctor about this and see if they can find out what it is that you are allergic to.
It is possible to be allergic to alcohol. You will need an allergy test to be sure.
Wow! That's a pretty adverse reaction to alcohol! Sounds like it is an allergy! :( To be sure, go to your doctor and make sure it's nothing more serious.
