Question: Wanted to know effects of water fasting for 10 days?
I'm in need of cleansing my body of what I've been eating (junk). I'm going to do a 10 day water fast and wanted to know what the effects it will have on me. I know what happens to the skin, tongue, fatigue but is there anything else I should watch for?

Water fasting is a very healthy way to detox and lose weight. I am currenty on my 3rd Dr supervised water fast and I have never been healthier.
The first 3 days (4 in my case) are the hardest, but the hunger only lasts about 1 to 2 days with the cravings, headaches, aches, fatigue, dizzyness, but as the toxins leave your body the symptoms get easier. the hardest I find is the craving for food, we are so programed to make food the center of our lives that it almost feels like a friend died when it's gone but soon you realize that we don't need food as much as we think we do.
I highly recomend you start of with fresh fruits and vegi's and then move into fresh juice before going into the water fast because it will make the symptoms of detoxing much easier then do the same thing in reverse when your ready to break the fast.
It's very important to listen to your body, after the first day or two you will not feel hunger untill your body NEEDS the food, in other word if your under weight you will feel "true hunger" within a couple of day of starting the fast but if your significantly over weight you can go 30-40 days without eating before your body needs food and you feel hungry.

Your dumb, doing that to your body is going to kill yourself, you can survive more then 6 days without Food, Water is not going to cut it. Plus, its only junk food, why slowly start yourself to death, when you can just workout and eat right. If your this concerned dont eat Junk food. No one cares if you gained 5 pounds, dont get all scared and start spazing out, your acting like you a 3 year old not getting your milk. Just suck it up, and lose the weight the old fashion way. Just eat breakfast, eat lunch, eat a good meal, but dont over do it, and do a good amounting of exercise each day, the weight will come off easily, i dont know why you would want to flush out the junk, i mean just take a poop. :D

The "water diet" is just a form of sever malnutrition. Your body reacts to this by trying to "digest" itself. When this happens severe toxins are released into your body. These damage your kidney, liver, Heart, adn brain.

Prolonged water diet can result in kidney failure, liver damage, heart muscle damage, brain damage, and death.



Water fasts are a dangerous fad. you body has already used the pro fat and carbs from the food you have eaten, the only residue to rid is in your gut. Don't wast your time Eat better
