If it's something that has just appeared I would definitely tell your parents and go get it checked out. Most likely it's nothing, but it's a really good idea to get it checked out.

Approaching your mom about it shouldn't be weird, just explain the situation and tell her your concerns. Statistically 1 in 10,000 males develop testicular cancer, but that number is rising significantly, especially among teens and young adults (ages 20-28). All this I literally just heard from my physician about 2 weeks ago when I got a scheduled physical. Don't be too alarmed, but to be safe get it checked out.

Hope all is well, God bless.

I'm a testicular cancer survivor and suggest you tell your mum and see a doctor. Symptoms vary greatly from man to man, but testicle bumps are common symptoms. And TC is the #1 cancer for men 15-35. The sooner a doctor can catch it the better the prognosis, and most likely the less treatment will be required. It could also be a blocked vein, infection, or benign cyst, but all of those things also need a doctor's attention. Don't worry till you have to - only a doctor can make an accurate diagnosis! This site has links to credible testicular cancer resources, and shows the self-exam with a list of symptoms. Good luck and hopefully it's nothing serious.

I would show to my physician immediately. The sooner he/she sees the lump and if it is cancerous the better your odds are and the less treatment you will have to deal with.
