Misdiagnosed with asthma?!

Question: Misdiagnosed with asthma?
I guess my question is whether this sounds like a misdiagnosis or not. A little back story to start- when I was 5 i was diagnosed with asthma caused by a respitory virus, I took medication for a couple years, and stopped by the time I was ten or 11. Until I was 20, I literally took no asthma medication, as the asthma seemed to have disapeared. Starting this winter I have been having some trouble catching a deep breath, so I went to my GP. Every time I go to my GP they tell me my lungs sound great, my blood oxygen is optimal, they do not hear any wheezing, etc., so im starting to think that the asthma was a misdiagnosis, especially since I have seen an ent recently and he said I had a mildly deviated septum and extreme nasal inflammation, to the point where one of my nostrils was completely blocked. The other main ting I noticed is that I do not get the normal symptoms of asthma, like tight chest or anything, the only thing I notice is that my throat always seems tight/tense- couldnt that be attributed to the fact that I breathe out of my mouth a large percentage of the time because my nose is almost always blocked? Based on this information, do my problems seem to be more asthma related, or due to something else, like allergies, acid reflux, etc?
