Question: I've been told i have pre cancer of the uteris?
If anyone has been diagnosed with this I would love hearing from you.I have a drs.appt.in March with a specialist and I'm a little frightened about the whole ordeal. If you have been there please reply.

Answers:

Don't panic!!!! It is very common and 100% treatable. I know a lot of women who've gone through the laser procedure. It doesn't mean you're going to have cervical or uterus cancer down the road. This is why PAP smears once a year are crucial. The pre cancer cells in this region don't evolve quickly. Laser treatment will kill the cells before they advance.

You will be just fine! Peace~~

EDIT: I've had 2 cousins, a few friends and my mother who've been through this. It is not uncommon. The laser surgery itself is a little uncomfortable but the outsome is positive. Keep your faith, friendy xo

key word is pre. It isn't cancer yet but if they don't remove the cells it could become cancer. They will set up up to have them removed and then you should be fine. Just make sure to continue to be examined regularly and it you will be fine. They may even find more later but as long as you catch them early they wont become cancerous. Good luck

I did and opted to have a hysterectomy because I had already had all the children I was going to have. If you are young and want children then i am sure there are treatments that are available to you.
