If you've recently passed the stress test, and the Dr. told you that you were fine, then I'd bet it's anxiety. I have panic attacks, anxiety and so forth. It was killing me. I was so stressed out that I had to get help, I think my record for not sleeping was 96 hours, it's like having your adrenal glands wrung out like a sponge.

I ended up seeing my Dr. about the drinking that went with the stress and he prescribed a mild tranquilizer and we titrated the dosage so that I'm usually able to get a reasonable amount of sleep.

You might want to visit your personal physician and see if he'll work with you on this. Good luck

Maybe its anxiety or maybe you have a nerve that is getting compressed. There are a couple of nerves that pass underneath the collar bone, and muscle tightness in the shoulders, upper back or chest can pull on the collar bone and compress the nerves. You could try some stretching exercises with your arms, chest, and shoulders to see if it has any effect. One example of this type of problem is described at the link:

it could be panic attacks, it could be ur sleeping on the side to much. it could be iur just tired so take a hot shower.

Anxiety can cause this !
its either that or a heart attack
