Question: I've have a PICC line and had a blood clot removed from it today and now I'm having chest pains, is it normal?
I've had my PICC line since the beginning of the year and been having problems with it clotting, so I had to go back to the hospital today to have it cleaned and a little blood clot came out. It's flushes like it should now but I'm having chest pain and don't know if it's normal or not...any one else been threw this?!?

anytime a person has a tube or any opening etc going into body increases risk for infection you stated your picc line had clotting problems and you went to hospital to have looked at clot removed this increases risk for infection now you have chest pain - do you have any other symptoms? fever shortness of breath etc? you need to see medical doctor and be evaluated this could be anything heart related to stress to infection
