How do you become a diabetic?!

Question: How do you become a diabetic?
I know its sugar related and a poor diet But what goes on the body in the inside. Does one day of eating a ton of sugar cause it or a long time added up. And how long is it? Also how come some people take insulin and others don't. Is it possible to live with diabetes and not take medicine and just exercise and eat right.

If you exercise and eat right, maintain a healthy weight, and stay active you will have a very, VERY, almost no chance of getting type 2. Type 1 however, is normally juvenile onset, and you cannot help getting it. I have been a type 1 for the past 15 years.
Type 2 Diabetes is when the insulin from the Pancreas (insulin allows glucose and nutrients into your cells) does an insufficient job of getting the glucose into your cells resulting in a high blood sugar, and in extreme cases Keto acidosis which is basically your body eating itself because it cannot get the nutrients it needs from the blood. Type 2 often occurs in obese people, because their Pancreas cant keep up with the glucose in their blood.
Type 1 is when your body mistakenly thinks parts of your Pancreas are not a part of your body so your immune system attacks it. Type 1 diabetics cannot produce insulin, so they have to inject it. It sucks lol.
I hope this helps.

I guess you are recently diagnosed for diabetes. if your fasting blood sugar level is less than 140 mg/dl and you are over 38 there is nothing to be afraid of. It is called prediabetes and if you are diagnoised recently then it is type-2 diabetes. both of them can be reversed and cured. You can live a normal life by choosing healthy diet and exercise with right medication.

As for the cause if you have a surgery and had been on bed rest u may develop it. adding to it if you are injected with glucose it may add to your problems. Lack of mobility and consuming too much sugar in due course will cause diabetes.

Normally type-2 diabetes is caused by heredity

It's not caused by just a day of eating sugar or sugary things. Diabetes affects pretty much ALL organs. I use to take pills for my diabetes, but didn't pay close enough attention to my diet and exercise habits, and my blood sugar soared high enough that I almost died. Now my vision is very affected, and I'm still taking pills plus insulin shots now. Being overweight can have a big bearing on acquiring diabetes, as well as what your eating habits are. It's possible that you can live with diabetes without medicine if you're eating RIGHT and exercising correctly... but it's also combined with your overall physical health as well... losing weight, no smoking, living as stress free as possible, staying healthy (yes, illness can make your diabetes/blood sugar rise). My sister is diabetic, and she is no longer on medication, but has a STRICT diet and exercise regime she adheres to religiously!

Hi, I fully understand what you are going through and how difficult it can be to obtain the perfect weight. That was until I was introduced to this weight loss plan. I am having great results with it. Maybe it could help you as well.
Good Luck

not being active enough and being overweight causes type 2 - age is another factor
