Why two people living with cystic fibrosis cannot date each other?!

Question: Why two people living with cystic fibrosis cannot date each other?
Answers:

Those of us who work in CF are compelled to discourage people with CF from socializing because of the risk of increased infection. There is a particularly nasty bacterium called B. Cepacia that is easily spread between CF patients. Having this bacteria could seriously decrease the life span of the CF patient. This bacteria is the reason why CF camps are discontinued in the 90s.

An inherited condition, cystic fibrosis affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. Normally, these secretions are thin and slippery, but in cystic fibrosis, a defective gene causes the secretions to become thick and sticky. Instead of acting as a lubricant, the secretions plug up tubes, ducts and passageways, especially in the pancreas and lungs.

Exchanging bacteria creates an infection and that can be deadly.

There is no reason why they can't date... They do have a higher chance of being susceptible to infections and are more easily affected by it. Therefore being around someone else who is immune compromised increases the number of times you will be exposed. However, being around children causes the same exposure. But as you just watched, it makes good TV.

I'm currently watching Greys Anatomy and they said the chances are higher to get an infection spread. Lungs will become weaker each time they are with one another. ):
