After fighting a flu? How to get energy & health back?!

Question: After fighting a flu? How to get energy & health back?
I'm just recovering from a dreadful flu which has lasted almost a week. Now I'm absolutely exhausted. The fevers and weakness were a new experience for me and I'm a 48 year old woman! The thing is, I'm usually robust, I run 5km most days and am a vegetarian (sometimes eat fish so not so strict).

How should I eat to build up my resistance quickly? I don't like taking vitamin supplements, in fact I never take them.

Answers:

Day 1. Fresh whole fruit first day with lot's of water.
Day 2. Cooked Vegetables second day along with fruits and rice. Ground flax seed provides Omega-3.
Day 3. Leafy greens raw with combination of foods on first day along with whole grains and beans.
Day 4. Very small portions of animal proteins or preferably: legumes, nuts, peas, and leafy greens. Raw vegetables.

Sitting in the sun will generate a lot of natural vitamin D which in reality is a hormone. A vegetarian needs to eat Vitamin B sources. Since you are not strict, you could eat very modest quantities of fish. However, remember how much contamination is in this food. Limit quantities.
