My urine smells extremely unusual and has a very reddish color. Do I have diabet!

Question: My urine smells extremely unusual and has a very reddish color. Do I have diabetes?
Right now I can't go to the doctor because I don't have money but it's becoming increasingly worrying.

Answers:

Go to any ER or maybe to your local health department. Not sure about diabetes but something is definitely wrong. Sounds more like a bladder or kidney infection which can be fixed with antibiotics. Hopefully it isn't more serious. PLEASE go get checked because it can only get worse. Is there any pain when urinating? Infections can get in your blood stream and cause sepsis which can kill you.

Personal knowledge

No, it's not a sign of diabetes. Beets and blackberries may turn urine red.
Carrots may color your urine a orange color.
Iron supplements will turn urine reddish. Pepto-Bismal and Maalox may do it.
Anti-biotic can do it.
Also mercury poisoning.
There most likely are others that may do it, as can a UTI or kidney stones.
However, you most likely would have some discomfort which you don't mention.
If you do have frequency and discomfort you need to see a Dr.

A Hospital will see you, even if you don't have money.

It sounds like you are passing blood in your urine. You may have a urinary tract infection, kidney stones or something worst.

You really need to see a Doctor about that. It does not sound like a diabetes problem.

my husband has diabetes and he's never had that symptom. that link above will take you to a sort of urine info page. have a look round it, see if you can match up any other symptoms you may have.

Do you have pain? It might be a urinary tract infection. Go to a doctor because if it is a urinary tract infection you could suffer damage if it goes untreated.

You might have blood in your urine if it's red. Could be a urinary tract infection. You might need antibiotics. Avoid eating sugar as this will make the infection worse.

Well I've had extremely dark yellow after playing sports for a long time.
Red can mean blood
Have you eaten beets
Stay away from beets and watermelon, and if your situation persists go to the doctor
