did anyone of you had hpv go away?!

Question: Did anyone of you had hpv go away?
I am freaking out just got my hpv results back and were positive. It looks like my current boyfriend gave it to me. Before him, I was in a monogamous married relationship. I am in my 30's and have been reading about complications if it doesn't go away or is fought off by the body for later in life such as cervical cancer.

My pap was normal as usual but the test also detected hpv positive. I had the test done before I started dating my current boyfriend and was negative. And a second time last week which came out positive. Any suggestions would be appreciated. And yes I do plan on telling him. Does taking vitamin B complex help? Just started taking it.

Hi....Well,I have had several pap smears over many years..I usually have a pap once a year, and a year and a half ago my pap came back abnormal..which my gyn told me that I possibly had hpv. So,I had a colposcopy, and those results came back negative for cervical cancer. So,my gyn told me that I would need a pap smear every 6 months to check me for cervical cancer..since my recent pap came back 'abnormal'..understand so far? So,another 6 months goes by,and I had another pap smear done, and those results came back 'negative' for hpv..odd enough. So,my gyn told me that the strain of hpv I had/have is the type that doesn't even require treatment, and tends to go away on it's own.I have never even had a conclusive hpv test done before, and my pap smear result that came back 'abnormal' onlt that 1 time is what my gyn based my positive hpv results on only! Makes NO sense to me,and seeing how 3 more pap test results have since came back normal..I really don't see how my gyn can determine I have hpv from only 1 abnormal pap smear, while 3 later paps all came back normal. You could have had hpv long before you were married, and it's only now that it's coming out...my gyn explained this to me when my results came back abnormal.I explained to my gyn that I have only been with 2 partners within a 20 year period, and my husband of the last 6 years..we always practice safe sex(condom). And,my ex husband of 16 years we had a monogamous relationship as well. So,I took that as I must have gotten hpv from my ex husband of 16 years...he must have contracted hpv from his first sexual experience.Strange how this whole hpv thing works, and GOD only knows who originally contracted the hpv...could have been your b/f,or could have been you from a previous relationship years back. You said you were in a monogamous marriage before your current b/f,but it still could have been your ex husband who contracted hpv from one of his previous sexual encounters long before you were in his life,or vice versa. And,even though the test you had before you started dating your curret b/f were negative...doesn't mean you didn't have hpv before you started this new relationship...hpv can lie dormant for many years before it becomes active/positive.So,in your case? It's very hard to say who actually had the hpv in the very beginning..could have been your ex husband, you,a previous partner from your ex husband long before you came into his life, etc. It's almost impossible to say...
As for taking the vitamin b complex? This is a question that you should ask your gyn.I've never heard if taking vitamin b complex helps with hpv or not.I hope everything works out for you.Take care.
Sorry for any mis spellings.
