Sounds more like a bad migraine. The biggest telltale sign is a fever and pain in the neck when you put your chin on your chest. I'm not talking about headache pain. It should hurt your neck quite a bit just to move it normally. Go to the doctor and maybe ask for a migraine prescription. He can probable also test you for meningitis without doing a spinal tap.
