Why do I feel better?!

Question: Why do I feel better?

Last night and early this morning I was coming down with something. At one point I had dry heaves, but immediately afterward I started to get gradually better. It would have made sense if there was actually something in my stomach, but all that came out was about a tsp of stomach acid.
