Missing school for strep throat?!

Question: Missing school for strep throat?
I'm in high school. So yesterday (wednesday) I decided to stay home from school because I was having throat pains, nausea, and a cough. I went to the doctor because I needed a note for my absence to be excused, and he tested me for strep. Apparently, it came out positive. He said I should miss today as well (thursday). In biology, though, we are dissecting fetal pigs and it's really tough to miss that. (Our teacher told us not to be absent during this.) I have two other group members, but I don't want the teacher to think I'm just skipping school. Also, my friends are the type who would go to school even if they have pneumonia...And they would really frown upon me missing two days in a row. I'm still going to be contagious until tonight because I started antibiotics yesterday night. My parents are fine with me missing school, they are just concerned with the make up work I will have Monday. (There is no school tomorrow due to a faculty convention.) So my question is: Should I just chill out at home for the next two days so I will be well by the weekend? Or should I suck it up and go to class today? I have a mild case.

Oh, I also have a doctor's note for both Wednesday and Thursday. Both my absences would be excused.

Answers:

take what your doctor gave you, and listen to him. take the days off so you don't get any worse or permanently damage your body/ throat (especially since it's strep throat, it's really serious!).

Don't be dumb, stay at home 'til you're well

Until the antibiotics start to work (this usually takes 1-2 days), you would be passing the bacteria to your classmantes if you went to school.

Just go for that period I would not reccomend going to any other class as strep is highly infectious I'm sure if you rang the school nd spoke to them they would understand

Goodluck

You should use penicillin_v_phenoxymethyl_penicillin, it is the best about it you can get information from here http://heansmd29.notlong.com/AAosoMg
