Question: My son has small veins and today it took two hrs.and four people to draw blood. What I have questions about is?
after a dozen pokes he doesn't bleed from the pokes, and when they final get in, the blood flow very slow and sometimes not enough for the tests. Is there a medical reason for this or is it just his genes?

Answers:

Small veins often have slow blood flow due to the size. Dehydration makes it difficult to find veins and the blood may not flow as well.
