When you go for a blood test and you're about to get your blood taken...?!

Question: When you go for a blood test and you're about to get your blood taken...?
do you ask the doctor whether the needle is a new one or do you just keep quiet, hoping that they know what they're doing. I didn't say anything when I went last week :(
HIV/AIDS and other blood related illnesses still exist though. I'm not sick or anything, but now that I think of it, maybe I should have asked.

Answers:

The needle used is sterile, new and wrapped each and every time. No need to ask. Although it saves time to have equipment already set up, if it helps you, request that it be unwrapped in front of you.

I'm a nurse.

That is the doctor/nurse/technician's responsibility and if they don't use a clean needle they could be fired or worse. Hopefully you aren't just walking into some hole in the wall with a "doctor." If so, go see a real doctor about your concern. And if not, don't worry.
