Why does cancer affect mostly elderly people than younger people?!

Question: Why does cancer affect mostly elderly people than younger people?
Answers:

Various studies indicated that diseases which people are facing in old age very often linked with nutritional deficiencies.

The main cause of nutritional deficiency in elderly is decreased efficiency of absorption. Nutrients can’t be absorbed properly because stomach acid secretion slows down in people at old age.

After 60 people tend to eat less because the need in calories is decreasing, accordingly their vitamin intake through food is also going down.

Many other factors are also affecting vitamin levels in older people. For example, poor dentition prevents them from eating fresh fruits and vegetables, meats that are rich in vitamins and many eat monotonous and vitamin poor foods. Loss of spouse, loneliness, limited mobility, social isolation all these also affect vitamin intake in elderly.

Vitamin C deficiency is very common among elderly because their diet contains foods that are poor in C vitamin. Many people at old age eat little of fresh fruits and vegetables that considered as the richest sources of vitamin C. Those who live in nursing homes especially susceptible to deficiency of vitamin C because their food looses great amounts of this vitamin during cooking.

Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant in your body and its deficiency may lead to many health problems including cancer.
