White and Green Mold in a house..?!

Question: White and Green Mold in a house..?
I went to clean a room in a house-a room that had not been used at all for many months. As I began to clean a dresser w/wood cleaner,I noticed it had white mold all over it.I then got a bleach solution & as I started cleaning, noticed that it was full of green mold inside.Soon I realized that basically everything in this room had mold all over it and washed everything w/bleach.My bf says this was dangerous as I did not have a mask on.My question is ~ how dangerous was this? I cleaned in this room all day.How can this affect my health? This was a few days ago & I am not sick but could this affect me in the future? Is there anything I should do now {health-wise}?

Answers:

Your boyfriend was grossly over stating the case. It is not healthy to have lots of mould around all the time but cleaning it off is not going tohurt you. You need to get the air circulating in that room so have the windowns open often and make sure there is not too mush stuff in the room. Also don't have furniture pushed right up against walls - leave a gap so the air can flow.

white and green mold isnt that bad of a deal compared to black mold. yes it can get you sick but im not sure if diseases can happen ask a doc
