Question: Tetanus Question? Quick Plz?

If I.stab my self with plastic not touching anything dirty, will it give me tetanus, what if i found it in the dirt? will that give me tetanus? i washed it with soap and hot water immediatly

Tetanus is a very harsh bacterial infection that inhibits neurons from firing electric impulses, thus causing paralysis/spasms. It is not likely that the bacteria that causes tetanus (Clostridium tetani *1*) was in the dirt. If I recall correctly it is an anaerobic bacteria that requires little to no oxygen to survive. You should be fine, but if you are that worried you should get a tetanus booster shot (hopefully you have had a tetanus shot in the last 6 or 7 years)
