Answers:

You should contact your physician and see if it's okay for you to take a stress vitamin, which contains large doses of the B vitamins, vitamin C, and zinc. These are water-soluble vitamins, so you pee out what your system cannot use right now. Because they don't get stored, you can't overdose without hugely trying.

The prenatal vitamins you are taking are only intended to maintain YOUR health, as a fetus will steal nutrients from its mother, and her body will rob itself to nourish the fetus. So you take prenatal vitamins to prevent your body and your baby from depleting you. These supplemental vitamins would give your body the extra nutrients it needs specifically to fight the infection and the stress the infection places on your already stressed systems (stressed already because you are pregnant, and your body has to work in overdrive in some ways).

For your chest congestion, take a very long, very steamy shower and breathe very deeply while in there. If you can get an old fashioned "steamer" or vaporizer (that continually releases a stream of steam), you could use it in your bedroom at night. If the vaporizer has little reservoirs where you can add oil of eucalyptus, this would help as well. This can also provide symptomatic relief for your stuffed nose.

Buy yourself a piece of ginger root, and boil 2 quarter-sized pieces, minced, in about 14 oz of water, along with a couple of pieces of lemon zest. Boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 5 minutes. Pour it into a mug, add a grating of black pepper and some honey, and sip this. This will soothe your throat and has a long traditional reputation in many cultures for diminishing the symptoms of a cold, the flu, and actually working as an anti-inflammatory.

Get yourself some chicken leg quarters, plop them in the crockpot, cover with filtered water, and let them cook on high until the chicken is falling off the bone. Strain, add any spices you might want, or salt and pepper, and sip like tea. Chicken soup really is an anti-inflammatory, and it's just good for the soul.

Get plenty of rest. Your body is building a baby and fighting an infection. This is much harder than walking and chewing gum at the same time. Force fluids (especially those noted above). All the processes of your body proceed with water as the medium. When your immune system kills virus that is in a cell, the dead virus and its toxins are removed from the cell in the medium of water. The more water you provide your system, the more efficiently this process with go forward. So drink lots but don't dring caffeinated beverages, as they actually can dehydrate you a little.
