Medical Question Please?!

Question: Medical Question Please?
Hello,
Last night, I was studying, when all of a sudden, my whole upper body began to hurt, and it felt heave breathing. I felt as if my lungs were to collapse. It wasn't extreme pain, just pain. I really do not know how to describe this, but it just hurt and it felt as if someone was sitting on my chest. I felt my breathing pipe constrict ( best term to describe) just a little bit. A few moments later, i felt as if i was being stabbed at the center of my ribcage, stomach. I also began to feel numbness (light numbness) across my body. Face, tongue, feet, legs. I fell asleep, and woke up better. I was scared it was gonna be a stroke, because i started to feel lightheaded too. However, I will be going to the doctor myself soon. Oh, and I also suffer from Acid Reflux, and it kinda felt like it was acting up, even though it has been under control for a very long time

I was getting laser acne scar removals last month, and I know the lady who did those on me. She recommended i get tested for vitamin b12 defficiency anemia, but i never got around to it.

I am an 18 year old male, and hopefully everything is ok, but I'd just like to have maybe a sort of opinion from you guys, before i head out to the doctor.

Thanks!!

Answers:

If you are taking acid blockers for your acid reflux, that is where the problems begin. Acid blockers lowers essential acid and you need stomach acid to kill of bacteria, fungi and parasites and absorb essential nutrients especially vitamin B12! Low stomach acid eventually leads to B12 deficiency. Acid reflux is in most cases caused by lack of digestive enzymes in the diet and/or insufficient stomach acid (rarely high stomach acid!). If you want a great way to prevent acid reflux - digestive enzyme supplements! If necessary, betaine hydrochloride or apple cider vinegar to make up for acid insufficiency.

Vitamin B12 deficiency is often misdiagnosed due to far too low a reference range. If you take the test, optimal B12 serum levels are above 800pg/ml or 600pmol/l. A urinary methlymalonic acid test is more accurate and aids in the diagnosis of B12 deficiency.

You should see the doctor today. It sounds serious.
