What type of Dr. should I see for painful diabetic frozen shoulder with nerve pa!

Question: What type of Dr. should I see for painful diabetic frozen shoulder with nerve pains arm and hand?
Will this be a 2 dr. visit or can one do it all in regard to my symptoms.

It has gotten to the point where I cannot sleep on my left side and can no longer workout with weights in the gym.

I am a 49 year old diabetic. Diagnosed at 30, Insulin dependent since 39.

Answers:

A neurologist specializes in nerve problems. An orthopedic doctor specializes in joints. I think I'd start with the orthopedic doctor since it is a major joint, then if necessary he/she will decide if you have to see a neurologist.
Diabetes would not cause a frozen joint. Also, diabetic nerve problems generally begin in the toes and fingertips then work back up the limb.

A chiropractor for a frozen shoulder. If you have diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage that causes nerve pains in the arm and hand), you can read about it here. http://www.mcvitamins.com/diabetic-nerve…

Hope this helps.
