Tiny blister-like bumps on my hand accompanied by dry skin on my hand?!

Question: Tiny blister-like bumps on my hand accompanied by dry skin on my hand?
On the palm of my hand near my wrist I developed a small dry spot that began peeling. I didn't think anything of it until bumps that look like tiny blisters appeared and seemed to multiply every time I looked at it. Also, I noticed they began appearing under my ring finger nail and down the side of my finger, although there was no dry skin prior to this. It's not severe or anything. The patch on my palm is about 2 cm in diameter but it still concerns me. I plan on seeing a dermatologist if it persists, but what could this possible be??? Help, please!

Answers:

Dyshidrosis. An allergic reaction to a dermatophyte infection ELSEWHERE in the body.
first line of treatment is an oral course of Nystatin/Diflutin. If you have Candida Albicans in the gut or internally, this will kill it stone dead in 2 weeks. However it can be an unknown dermatophyte in your nose, your bum, on your skin, fungal toenails, anywhere on your body. It is not on your hand! That is the allergic reaction showing up. There is a very effective drug, Toctino, not available in America or Australia yet. It is very expensive and the naturopathic alternative is cheap. However, you cannot take either if there is any chance you will get pregnant. TERATOGENIC!!! Check out the dysishidrosis yahoo group website.

I am a podiatrist and I am doing a special study on this condition, which occurs on the feet as much as the hands.
