Please some help put my mind at rest...(i think i have lung cancer)?!

Sounds like you have a sinus infection.

A sign that this is lung cancer would be if it was happening several times a day for weeks or even months.

Hey dont go worrying yourself, reading symtoms on the internet can be lethal. Constant repetitive coughing can cause bleeding where your lung is strained. You could also have had a nose bleed that you did not know about in your sleep. At the top of your nose are millions and millions of blood vessels - any one of them could have bled!!! Please do not worry you will drive yourself nuts. Wait til you see the doctor.

My dad had lung cancer and he didn't have the symptoms you have, he had a slight cough with no blood in it and he was a heavy smoker and 73 years old. Yours sound like sinus problems and with coughing you just wrenched too much. Doctor will tell you it is a viral infection.

Its just a common cold, what gets me is why did you start smoking only last year

You don't have lung cancer.

Teenagers don't get lung cancer. It is very rare in anyone under 40

I hate to ask but how old are you? I am 45 and i do the same, its weird allergies and congestion.
please do not worry if you had lung cancer you would not be able to breathe and walk or laugh and move..lung cancer is bad.
sounds like you have the same type of congestion i deal with daily...a big wad of crap in your nose or sinus's..its a pain but take decongestants and anti-histamines. you will see it go away with in a week..

You remind me of my daughters they read things that are diseases and think they have them, no offence, I do that too, but you just have allergies..if it was a cold or flu you would have a temperature and by achy..its allergies, trust me!!!
