Question: Are there any tips to ease General Anxiety Disorder without going to the doctor?
Any tips to calm someone with GAD down, some tips, not involving going to the doctor/psychologist? Thanks.

If you have the faith, the Bible is a great Book to calm one down. In the book of psalms, it contains great and precious promises for those who believe in God. Those who are anxious are usually without anchor to the great God.

Read Psalms! It is greatly comforting! Those who meditate on God are seldom anxious.

The modern age has so many problems because it has ignored the Bible. The prophecies of the Bible have come true or is coming true.



Yes, I found a psychologist helped me better than regular dr. or physiatrist if your looking for help without medication. The only thing is not all psychologist perscribe medication(if needed) like all doctors & pyhsiatrist can do. They teach and do relaxing techniquies, do cognitive hypnosis, imagery therapy, deep breathing and other ways to calm down. You talk about how you feel, what is bothering you etc. and the psychologist listens, gives advice,knowledge and help with the problems your dealing with
and that's basically what happens in counseling session. I look forward to counseling sessions every week, just to release build up stress or thoughts of frustration. It's like paying a friendly person to listen to everything you have/want to say and not be interrupted, say everything without being critize just helpful suggestions and knowledge. Go to library or book store and read some relaxation, stress free anxiety books. I hope you find something that helps you. Good Luck
