What can make someone so prone to infections?!

Question: What can make someone so prone to infections?
I'm so sick of this. Every time I see a doctor, I'm diagnosed with an infection. Every time. I've been treated for bv 3 times, yeast infection several times, UTI several times, bladder infections, the list goes on. And now, while I'm waiting for my appointment to see an ophthalmologist for an eye infection, my kidneys hurt like hell which I'm sure is a symptom of another ..... infection.

wtf. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I'm just a mom who stays home and makes crafts for a living. I don't drink or do drugs or anything.

Is there some underlying cause? Could having something like diabetes (I don't know if I have that, but it runs in my family) make you prone to infections? Or something else??

Answers:

High levels of stress lowers the immune system.

It could be a number of disorders or it could be based on your lifestyle. When you were a kid, were you the kid who never got dirty? As an adult, do you disinfect everything all the time? Often, people are prone to infection because they never really were exposed to bacteria.
