Back acne problem!? ( please help )?!

Question: Back acne problem!? ( please help )?
I have moderate/severe acne on my shoulders&back. I have semi in may & i really want to be clear by then. I've used neutrugena, zen med, dove, st ives blemish wash, & nothing has worked. I bought the murad body wash , & i have been using it for a week, but i think my acne is getting worse? Will it get better before may or do i need to try something new?

Answers:

You will start to see results in a month or two... acne sometimes gets worse before it gets better and that is because your pores are being cleaned out. But you have to remember that murad might not work for you, if you dont see results within the month or two then you should definently change. Things that will help is to drink a lot of water to get rid of the toxins, get plenty of sun that way it drys up the pores...

For milder versions of back or body acne a topical 10 percent benzoyl peroxide cream or gel may suffice. Severe acne, including cysts, should be treated by a dermatologist.
To treat mild back acne:

Step 1 Wash the back with an anti-bacterial cleanser formulated for the face, such as Cetaphil. Stay away from regular soap. Let skin dry.

Step 2 Follow with a 10 percent benzoyl peroxide gel or cream. These are available over-the-counter or via prescription.

Step 3 (optional) Some experts suggest using the benzoyl peroxide in tandem with an alpha hydroxy treatment such as Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion is optimal.

For severe back acne, consult a dermatologist for prescription treatment. Cysts can be treated in the office.

Back Acne Tips

1. Wear cotton clothing and use powder to keep your back dry.

2. If necessary, you can apply antiperspirant to your back (but don't do this if you are doing vigorous activity - sweating is necessary to keep you from overheating).

3. Since bacteria can exacerbate the condition, always wear clean clothes, bras and T-shirts when working out and put a clean towel down before lying on exercise machines or mats at the gym.

4. Shower as soon as possible after perspiring. Never go straight into the steam room after a sweaty workout—shower first to get rid of dirt and bacteria.

5. You should probably change your shirt twice a day whether you exercise or not to avoid bacteria buildup that can further aggravate your acne.

Home Remedy for back acne: Use homemade Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) soap and add tea tree oil to it while making it. It does wonders for acne prone/oily skin. Will definitely improve your acne, and it softens skin.
