Is the heart condition A-Fib hereditary?!

Question: Is the heart condition A-Fib hereditary?
* Atrial Fibrulation (my spelling may be off?)

Can it be passed down in a family tree?
Are woman more likely to get it?

Answers:

No, it is not hereditary.
A-fib is a condition mainly observed in the elderly, however, you can find it in young individuals.
This condition is caused by the atrium, which is one of the heart chambers. The atrium contracts according to some electric stimuli, however, sometimes, this stimuli gets out of control, and the result is that the atrium contracts without any specific patron.
You can see it both in men and women.
Sometimes, in the elderly, there is a tendency to prescribe aspirin because A-fib sometimes tend to provide an increase chance of cloths.

Im a Physician.
