Does warm water help cure dry hands?!

Question: Does warm water help cure dry hands?
If I soak my hands in warm water, then put either a lotion or vaseline & socks on top of them, will I get better results then just putting lotion or vaseline on them without soaking my hands in warm water?

Thank you.

Answers:

Yes, my mom has very dry skin in her hands. Especially in the winter. What she does is soak her hands in warm water and put bag balm on them. She has special gloves that were made especially for this but I'm thinking socks will work just fine. In your case instead of bag balm use the vaseline or something thick for lotion. My son had really dry skin and the doctor suggested this lotion for baby eczema. I use that on my hands now that he doesn't need it. I bet something like that would work good for you with your socks. It locks in moisture.

No warm water does not cure dry hands. The vaseline and lotion will help.
