I haven't ever had the flu (why)?!

Question: I haven't ever had the flu (why)?
I don't think i have a very strong immune System because i used to get ill all the time but I have never had the flu even when about 90 % of our school got it over the holidays, and i haven't had a cough in about 10 years now. I'm only 13 though. But i don't think i am particular healthy because i don't exercises or anything but i haven't been ill at all for about 6-7 months. I just wounded why.

Answers:

From having been ill a few times, you could have built up some immunity, it could just be lucky that you didn't get close enough to those who have been sick, or you practice good hand washing skills & don't touch your face, which could introduce germs to your body.

Well count yourself lucky..lol but in all seriousness chances are you have been exposed to the Flu, however flu symptoms, while they have been generalized, don't always present the same way in every person, you may not have had the typical symptoms associated with influenza, or even the standard "cold" either.

Or maybe your like the guy from unbreakable who knows.

Most people get the flu, or any virus, because they don't wash their hands enough - then they touch and eat their food and put the germs in their system. Could be your hygiene is better than them, and/or you're just lucky :)
