I want to stop smoking cold turkey?!

Question: I want to stop smoking cold turkey?
has any of you done this successfully?

Answers:

Must be difficult to light.

I did, but i was pregnant at the time so i had a good incentive!! I didn't smoke for over 4 years. but after a very stressful house sale and purchase i started up again one day, just like that! Stupid girl!!!

However, i am currently in Week 13 of no smoking, having gone cold turkey. The first couple of weeks were hell, i gained a bit of weight because i was eating more to compensate, but after the first couple of weeks it was pretty easy - it wasn't so much the nicotine withdrawal for me, but the habit - like i'd have a ciggie in the car on the way to work, or one as soon as i got home, the one i missed the most was the one after my evening meal. I did have a ciggie with my mum a few weeks back but that was only because i was stressing over the results of a mammogram - so i gave myself that one. I smoked when i was bored - so what i do now is tidy the house - my drawers and cabinets have never been so tidy!!! lol .....i could still quite easily light one up now but i know if i do it'll be downhill spiral to smoking 15 a day again.

But there are so many nicotine replacements out there to help, so don't feel you HAVE to go cold turkey. My husband uses nicotine losenges because he simply cannot go cold turkey. Wuss ;o)

often, and i prefer turkey tails most of all. it seems their high fat content takes well to smoking, and makes them taste a lot like bacon.
here's one people seldom try,: smoking cold potatos.
