Is it normal to be really hungry when sick with cold.?!

Question: Is it normal to be really hungry when sick with cold.?
So, I caught a really bad cold. I'm tired, there's pressure in my face (sign of Sinus infection), I have a variation of a runny/stuffed nose, a bad cough, and I just feel like being lazy in bed. I've had it for about 2 days now, starting to get better. It's not like an average cold, it's more extreme as usually with a cold, I function just fine.
In addition to my symptons, i am also extremely hungry! I normally have a very small apppetite, and with this cold I have just been scarfing down anything! Today I ate-
A turkey sandwhich
A cliff bar
An orange
2 apples
A bag of baby carrots
2 bananas
A bowl of cheerios
3 slices of Domino's cheese pizza (pizza with a cold, crazy right?)
Gallons of water.

Normally, I can't eat half of that in a day-
what's going on?

I don' t know, normally you lose your appetite and nothing sounds good to eat. Cravings from about to get your period? I've heard of that...

it is not normal rather it is coping mechanism . you eat so that you do not want suffer more from the sickness . you eat to relieve you from pain and emptiness .
