Could you get mono twice?!
Question: Could you get mono twice?
Answers:
You can definitely have infectious mononucleosis more than once. If you do you may have a very suppressed /compromised immune system. You will want to have your physician check it out to be sure and to watch you.
Not likely, if possible at all. Once you have the virus that causes mono (EBV), you have it for life. The virus will occasionally replicate for short periods of time for the rest of your life, but this replication doesn't usually cause symptoms. If you think it is mono, look for objective signs of mono rather than just how you feel.
no i don't think you can... my friend had it and her doctor said that you only ever get it once... it's like chickenpox, once you've had it you're immune for the rest of your life
Yeah.
