I'm 17 is my heart rate normal?!

Question: I'm 17 is my heart rate normal?
When to the gym the other day done rowing for about 7mins at fairly hard pace burned 55calories had 2 min break then i went onto the running machine for about 5-10 mins and i ran at a fairly fast pace for 0.90 of a mile burned 40ish calories. I put my hands on the heart rate bar and it said my heart rate was 180 bpm and then it was at a constant of 170-173 bpm is this normal im kinda worried. i had no pain or dizziness and my heart rate now is 70ish bpm. About 8 months ago i was doing loads of intensive cycling and was in great shape i worked out so intensively but never knew my heart rate.

Answers:

I have been told by my PT that 220 minus your age is a safe workout max. so you're in the safe zone.
if you are worried give yourself longer recovery between hard workouts. and see your doctor for reassurance,

Normally your heart rate should be between 60 and 100bpm at rest, and that's on average. It is normal for your heart rate to go up with exercise and if you say it was that high when you were in the gym but has now come down to what it is now you shouldn't be worried.

yes it is.
When i'm at the gym, and i'm on the elipticle or the running machine my heart rate ranges from 163-180 if i'm working hard enough.
