Why do I get strep throat so much?!

Question: Why do I get strep throat so much?
It seems like I get it at least 3 times a year! I have been to the doctor so many times about it, but they do NOTHING accept give me this disgusting medicine that I now have a collection of. What should I do about it?

Answers:

Have your tonsils and adenoids removed. My daughter had strep about 10 times in one year when she was 10. I finally took her to an ENT and it was explained to me that, when her tonsils were inflamed and she got strep, the inflamed tonsils remained for a time after the antibiotic cleared the strep BUT some of the bacteria was trapped in the inflammation and it would just re occur due to this. Re-occurring strep can also cause other health problems so I advise that you see an ENT.
